Onshore winds increase this evening as Helene strengthens over
the Gulf of Mexico. Unsettled weather is expected Thursday and
Friday as Helene tracks through the southeastern US. Specific
impacts are uncertain, but hazardous marine conditions will be
possible as this system approaches the southeastern US late this
week. Improving weather is slated for the weekend.
