...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTH CENTRAL FLORENCE...WESTERN
DILLON...NORTHEASTERN DARLINGTON...NORTHWESTERN MARION AND
SOUTHEASTERN MARLBORO COUNTIES THROUGH 500 PM EDT...

At 428 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms capable of producing a landspout near Brownsville, or
13 miles northeast of Darlington, moving east at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Landspouts, wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph, and nickel size
         hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Gusty winds
         could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured
         objects.

Locations impacted include...
Dillon, Mccoll, Latta, Quinby, Clio, Sellers, Mars Bluff,
Brownsville, Oak Grove, Francis Marion University, Bingham, Floydale,
Dunbar, Little Rock, Minturn, Blenheim, Tatum, and Mcleod Medical
Center.

This includes Interstate 95 in South Carolina between mile markers
169 and 193.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature`s leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
