...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN LESLIE AND CENTRAL
PERRY COUNTIES THROUGH 630 PM EDT...

At 605 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Dryhill, or near Hyden, moving northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Hazard, Hyden, Avawam, Dryhill, Toulouse, Wooton, Mosley Bend,
Thousandsticks, Bulan, and Wendover.

THIS INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING HIGHWAYS...
 Hal Rogers Parkway between mile markers 44 and 59.
 Kentucky Highway 80 in Perry County between mile markers 9 and 11.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for
southeastern Kentucky.
