...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN WAYNE...CENTRAL
PULASKI AND NORTH CENTRAL MCCREARY COUNTIES THROUGH 1045 PM EDT...

At 954 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms over Betsey, or 8 miles northeast of Monticello, moving
northeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Somerset, Science Hill, Burnside, Stab, Sloans Valley, Bobtown,
Nancy, Barrier, Pointer, Gregory, Bronston, Dabney, Pulaski County
Park, Somerset Pulaski Airport, Denney, Kidder, Hogue, Naomi, Alpine,
and Ruth.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for
south central Kentucky.
