Through 100 am, the mesoanalysis products from the Storm Prediction Center indicate strong converging winds from the SFC through 10 thousand feet remain across the Florida Keys. This pattern will maintain widespread showers and isolated thunderstorms across the Florida Keys for the next several hours. Recent trends suggest a few less thunderstorms. Rainfall is finally tapering off over Key Largo for a brief period of time. 24 hour totals in Key Largo peaked at near 10 inches. Radar imagery continues to indicate the heaviest rainfall will be over the Lower and Middle Keys, particularly from Big Coppitt Key through Marathon. An additional two to three inches of rain is likely in this region. The movement of the discrete thunderstorms has slowed to 10 to 15 mph, so localized gusts likely will be limited to 30 to 35 mph.
