Showers and thunderstorms will gradually increase through this evening, especially filling in over southwest Nebraska and overspreading the region as they move northeast. Locally heavy rainfall will create a marginal threat for flash flooding through tonight and into Thursday, mainly along and south of Interstate 80 and also across the Niobrara valley from Highway 83 eastward. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday. There is potential for thunderstorms with locally heavy rainfall Thursday and Friday with a marginal to slight threat for flash flooding mainly along and north of Highway 20, particularly east of Highway 83. A few storms could also be strong to severe west of Highway 83 and along and north of Highway 2, with large hail and damaging winds as the primary hazards. Additional strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible Friday afternoon and evening primarily near and north of Highway 92. Hot temperatures will pose an increasing heat risk Sunday into next week with readings near 100 degrees across southwest Nebraska. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
