569 FZUS54 KLCH 220828 CWFLCH Coastal Waters Forecast National Weather Service Lake Charles LA 328 AM CDT Sun Sep 22 2024 Coastal waters from the Lower Atchafalaya River LA to High Island TX out 60 nautical miles including Sabine and Calcasieu Lakes and Vermilion and Cote Blanche Bays Seas are provided as a range of the average height of the highest one third of the waves, along with the occasional height of the average highest ten percent of the waves. GMZ400-222115- 328 AM CDT Sun Sep 22 2024 .SYNOPSIS... High pressure offshore will continue the trend of hot, dry and calm conditions. Seas are below 2 feet and will stay there through the weekend. In addition winds will be light and variable. The pattern will start to change around midweek as a front moves offshore, increasing winds. In the Gulf the NHC has a 70% region for development of a tropical cyclone. There is little consistency between individual models or model run-to-run consistency.
