245 FZUS61 KCLE 291338 GLFLE Open Lake Forecast for Lake Erie National Weather Service Cleveland OH 938 AM EDT Sat Jun 29 2024 For waters beyond five nautical miles of shore on Lake Erie Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS... A warm front will lift north of Lake Erie this morning as low pressure of 29.60 inches moves east across the Upper Great Lakes. A cold front is expected to sweep southeastward across Lake Erie late tonight into Sunday. Behind the cold front, another ridge averaging 30.20 inches impacts Lake Erie through Tuesday as the core of the ridge moves from the north-central United States toward the New England Coast. Low pressure near James Bay will pull a weak cold front across Lake Erie Wednesday night.
