Fire Weather Planning Forecast for S MS and SE LA
National Weather Service New Orleans LA
352 PM CDT Mon Sep 23 2024

.DISCUSSION...

A weak front will move into the portions of Southwest
Mississippi and Southeast Louisiana tomorrow and then stall
through Wednesday. By Thursday, the front will be pushed
offshore as a tropical cyclone moves through the southern and
eastern Gulf. A few outer rain bands from this system may
impact coastal Mississippi. By the weekend, dry weather
returns as high pressure builds into the region.
