698 FZUS61 KBUF 221435 GLFLO Open Lake Forecast for Lake Ontario National Weather Service Buffalo NY 1035 AM EDT Sat Jun 22 2024 For waters beyond five nautical miles of shore on Lake Ontario Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS...A stalled frontal boundary will be just south of the lake through midday. A 29.6 inch low over the Upper Great Lakes this afternoon and tonight will push the boundary to the north to the Quebec border by daybreak Sunday. The low will deepen to 29.4 inches during the day Sunday while passing to the north of the lake. The low will push a cold front across the region Sunday night. A 30.0 inch high centered over the Ohio Valley on Monday will extend northwards across the Great Lakes. The axis of the high pressure will cross the lake Monday night and Tuesday. The next cold front will then cross the lake Wednesday.
