...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM CDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of northeast Illinois, including the following
  county, Lake IL.

* WHEN...Until 1000 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding
  may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 918 AM CDT, Showers and thunderstorms have ended. Doppler
    radar and gauges indicate that between 1 and 2 inches of rain
    fell which will lead to continued runoff and minor flooding
    of poor drainage areas.
  - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
    expected.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Waukegan, Arlington Heights, Palatine, Buffalo Grove,
    Wheeling, Northbrook, North Chicago, Gurnee, Mundelein,
    Highland Park, Round Lake Beach, Vernon Hills, Zion,
    Grayslake, Libertyville, Lake Zurich, Lake Forest, Round
    Lake, Antioch and Wauconda.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Advisory means minor flooding along waterways and other poor
drainage areas is imminent or may already be occurring. Persons in
the advisory area should use caution and avoid flood waters.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
