...Cold Front Moving down Lake Michigan...

The areas affected include...

  Nearshore Waters from Winthrop Harbor to Calumet Harbor...

At 220 PM CDT, NWS meteorologists were tracking a cold front moving
southward along the Lake Michigan shoreline. The front will be
accompanied by an abrupt northeasterly wind shift and gusts to 25kt.
In addition, waves will quickly build to 2 to 4 feet in the wake of
the front.

Locations impacted include...
Harrison-Dever Crib, Wilmette Harbor, 31st Street Harbor, Monroe
Harbor, Calumet Harbor, Winthrop Harbor, Montrose Harbor, Waukegan
Harbor, Burnham Harbor, Jackson Park Harbor, Belmont Harbor, and 59th
Street Marina.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 25 knots and quickly
building waves. Boaters should consider safe harbor before the front
arrives.
