Dry conditions expected through the mid afternoon. Hot temperatures in the low to mid 90s expected this afternoon. A cold front crosses the area this evening, producing numerous showers and scattered thunderstorms in the Baltimore area. The most likely time to see thunderstorms is from 5 PM to 8 PM. The strongest storms will be capable of producing wind gusts of 40 mph or greater, and frequent lightning strikes. Once the cold front passes, a few additional showers/storms are possible through around midnight. High pressure will return for the weekend, bringing dry and much more pleasant conditions as highs reach the mid 80s each day.
