* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...

  Stafford County in northern Virginia...
  Orange County in central Virginia...
  The northwestern City of Fredericksburg in central Virginia...
  Southwestern Fairfax County in northern Virginia...
  East central Rappahannock County in northwestern Virginia...

* Until 945 PM EDT.

* At 903 PM EDT, widespread severe thunderstorms were located along
  a line extending from near Haymarket to 8 miles east of Culpeper
  to 10 miles northwest of Spotsylvania, moving east at 55 mph.
  Expect many more to develop northeast into the DC Metro area.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Damaging winds will cause some trees and large branches
           to fall. This could injure those outdoors, as well as
           damage homes and vehicles. Roadways may become blocked by
           downed trees. Localized power outages are possible.
           Unsecured light objects may become projectiles.

* Locations impacted include...
  Stafford, Dale City, Fredericksburg, Culpeper, Warrenton,
  Woodbridge, Quantico, Aquia Creek, Lake Ridge, Linton Hall,
  Montclair, Bull Run, Triangle, Dumfries, Bealeton, Haymarket,
  Spotsylvania, Manassas, Sudley, and Cherry Hill.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will send your report to the National Weather Service
office in Sterling Virginia.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
