It will be a must to practice heat safety, especially in locations within the Heat Advisory as it has been quite some time since we have dealt with this intense of heat. Likewise, air temperatures will be 10+ degrees above normal across most of the state. Stay hydrated, wear light colored clothing, and limit you time outdoors exposed to the direct heat by utilizing rest cycles. A few isolated showers and thunderstorm will be possible Friday evening into Friday night across northern Arkansas. The main hazard with any activity that does develop will be lightning. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday A few isolated showers and thunderstorm will be possible Saturday across the northern half of Arkansas and into west- central Arkansas.
