Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
345 AM CDT Tue Jun 18 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Elevated fire weather conditions are expected today and Wednesday
over the higher terrain west of the Pecos. Beginning Wednesday,
rain chances will increase, especially west of the Pecos, as a
tropical disturbance moves through Mexico. This will result in
minimal fire weather concerns for the rest of the week. Relative
humidity will bottom out at 6-43% this afternoon, and 20-53%
Wednesday. Recovery overnight will be moderate to excellent.
