Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
245 PM CDT Tue Jun 25 2024

.DISCUSSION...

A ridge of high pressure over West Texas and Southeast New Mexico
for the foreseeable future will result in increased moisture,
modest 20-ft winds, and minimal fire weather concerns. The best
chances for thunderstorms remain over the higher terrain west of
the Pecos. Gusty and erratic winds will be possible with any
storms that do develop, as well as lightning starts. Recovery
overnight and Wednesday night will be moderate to excellent.
Relative humidity will bottom out Wednesday afternoon at 18-39%,
and Thursday at 16-36%.
