Isolated lightning storms will be possible over the coastal waters of Brevard County and the Treasure Coast into tonight. A storm or two may be also be able to develop or push onshore along the Treasure Coast overnight. Any storms will produce gusty winds, occasional lightning strikes and heavy downpours. .RIP CURRENT AND SURF IMPACT... A Moderate Risk of rip currents persists at area beaches tonight. .RIVER FLOOD IMPACT... The Saint Johns River near Astor is forecast to remain in Moderate Flood Stage into mid week, before falling into Minor Flood Stage by late next week. However, northerly winds will have the potential to delay the decline, as well as any heavy rain potential past mid next week. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday. Isolated lightning storms are forecast through early this week, mainly south of Orlando. Brief heavy rain and gusty winds will accompany any stronger storms. A moderate to high risk of dangerous rip currents will continue at the beaches through the upcoming week. Flooding along the Saint Johns River, particularly at Astor, will continue through at least this week. There is a high chance for tropical development in the northwest Caribbean this week. It is too early to determine what, if any, impacts this may bring to East Central Florida. However, shower and lightning storm chances look to increase late week and into the weekend.
