The ridge will persist across the central waters tonight through Sat night while slowly weakening and drifting SE. A weak tropical wave near 75W S of 30N will continue moving W today, passing near or just S of the far S waters this afternoon and tonight. It will then move onshore over the SE states on Fri. A cold front will approach the N waters on Fri, then stall near 40N Fri night and Sat before lifting slowly N away from the area as a warm front Sat night into Sun.
