New England continental shelf and slope waters from 25 nm
offshore to the Hague Line, except to 1000 fm south of New
England.

Conditions given represent the highest within that period.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

The National Weather Service is accepting public comments until
July 29 2024 on a proposal to replace feet with meters when
describing seas in a variety of National Marine Center text
and graphical products for the Offshore and High Seas Areas

.SYNOPSIS FOR NEW ENGLAND WATERS...A cold front will move across
the area today as an associated low moves slowly into the Gulf of
Maine. The low will pass E of the waters tonight as the trailing
cold front clears E of the area. A weak high pressure ridge will
form over the area Tue, and shift E of the waters Tue night.
Another cold front will approach from the W and NW Wed and Wed
night, then cross the region Thu into Thu night. High pressure
will build E over New England late Thu night, then spread E over
the waters Fri and Fri night.

Gulf of Maine to the Hague Line

.TODAY...SW winds 10 to 20 kt, becoming S. Seas 5 to 9 ft.
Chance of showers and scattered tstms with vsby 1 nm or less.
.TONIGHT...S to SW winds 5 to 15 kt, becoming N 10 to 20 kt.
Seas 5 to 9 ft. Chance of showers and slight chance of tstms
with vsby 1 nm or less.
.TUE...N winds 10 to 20 kt, becoming W to NW 5 to 15 kt. Seas
4 to 7 ft.
.TUE NIGHT...SW winds 10 to 15 kt, becoming 10 to 20 kt. Seas
