New England continental shelf and slope waters from 25 nm
offshore to the Hague Line, except to 1000 fm south of New
England.

Conditions given represent the highest within that period.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

The National Weather Service is accepting public comments until
July 29 2024 on a proposal to replace feet with meters when
describing seas in a variety of National Marine Center text
and graphical products for the Offshore and High Seas Areas

.SYNOPSIS FOR NEW ENGLAND WATERS...A quasi-stationary front will
linger across the New England waters tonight into Sunday then
lift north as a warm front by Sunday night. A cold front will
move offshore later Monday, cross the waters Monday night, and
then clear east of the waters by Tuesday morning. A weak high
pressure ridge will form over the area Tuesday afternoon into
Tuesday night, with the ridge shifting east of the area
Wednesday. Another cold front will approach from the west later
Wednesday and Wednesday night.

Gulf of Maine to the Hague Line

.TONIGHT...Variable winds less than 10 kt. Seas 1 to 3 ft.
Chance of showers and isolated tstms with vsby 1 nm or less.
.SAT...E to SE winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 to 3 ft, becoming 2 ft
or less. Chance of showers and isolated tstms with vsby 1 nm or
less.
.SAT NIGHT...S to SW winds 5 to 15 kt. Seas 2 to 4 ft. Chance of
rain and areas of fog with vsby 1 nm or less.
.SUN...S winds 5 to 15 kt, becoming S to SW 15 to 25 kt. Seas
building to 4 to 7 ft. Showers and chance of tstms with vsby 1
nm or less.
