...FLOOD WARNING FOR THE OVERTOPPING AND BREACH OF LEVEE ALONG
LITTLE SIOUX RIVER NEAR RODNEY IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CDT WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by a levee failure is occurring.

* WHERE...Monona County in west central Iowa.

* WHEN...Until 900 AM CDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of the river bottom outside of the levee system
  is occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 403 PM CDT, Local law enforecement reports that flooding
    of the river bottom outside of the levee system is occurring
    on both the east and west sides of the Little Sioux River
    near Rodney and down to Ticonic. This flooding is expected to
    continue tonight due to breaches in the levee system.
  - Some locations that may experience flooding include...
    Rodney, Ticonic, and Kennebec.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
