...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT ORANGE AND WESTERN PUTNAM
COUNTIES THROUGH 530 PM EDT...

At 439 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Walden to near Millrift. Movement was east at
30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Newburgh, Middletown, Port Jervis, Walden, Goshen, Howells, New
Windsor, Gardnertown, Chester, Montgomery, Florida, Cuddebackville,
Otisville, Huguenot, and Unionville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for
southeastern New York.
