...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHERN BERGEN...CENTRAL
WESTCHESTER AND ROCKLAND COUNTIES THROUGH 700 PM EDT...

At 615 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Suffern, moving east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
New City, Ossining, Ridgewood, Monsey, Nanuet, Ramsey, Haverstraw,
Tarrytown, Dobbs Ferry, Suffern, Nyack, Tappan, Sloatsburg,
Hawthorne, and Pearl River.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for
northeastern New Jersey...and southeastern New York.
