.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 145 AM CDT Sun Sep 15 2024

A drier and warmer pattern will begin taking hold and ultimately work
across the area in east-to-west fashion over the course of this
new week. In the interim, some form of pop will linger as they
otherwise contract across our southern and western counties
through Monday. Dew points hovering near 70F and still ample
columnar moisture will contribute to seeing another one to two
thirds of an inch of rainfall potential in the southeast
Missouri Ozarks, with lesser amounts expected elsewhere pops
reside.

We`ll see the drier forecast reflected in dew points dropping
to the mid 50s to lower 60s by Tuesday, where they`ll hold for
the bulk of the work week. Even into next weekend, they don`t
exceed the lower 60s. This drier air mass will likewise get
warmer, with upper 80s expanding, also from east-to-west, and
becoming the norm across the entirety of the Forecast Area by
Tuesday and beyond.

.AVIATION /18Z TAFS THROUGH 18Z MONDAY/...
Issued at 1208 PM CDT Sun Sep 15 2024

The TAFs are VFR. The main concern will be scattered
SHRA/isolated TSRA development this afternoon and evening near
KPAH and KCGI. TSRA probs are too low to mention. There is some
fog signal overnight mainly over southeast Missouri and southern
Illinois. Once again mid-level clouds are likely to hang out
over most of the region overnight, so will leave fog out of the
forecast. KMVN has the best chance to see any fog tonight.
