The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Southern Mercer County in northwestern Pennsylvania...
  Lawrence County in western Pennsylvania...
  West central Butler County in west central Pennsylvania...

* Until 715 PM EDT.

* At 629 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over New Castle,
  moving north at 20 mph.

  HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vehicles is possible. Trees snapped
           and uprooted. Power outages can be expected.

* Locations impacted include...
  New Castle, Hermitage, Sharpsville, New Wilmington, Oakwood, New
  Castle Northwest, Mercer, New Beaver, Pulaski, West Middlesex,
  Plain Grove Township, Wampum, South New Castle, Harlansburg,
  Portersville, Jackson Center, Volant, McConnells Mill, Rose Point
  Park, and Cooper`s Lake Campground.

This includes the following highways...
  Interstate 79 in Pennsylvania near mile marker 99, and between
  mile markers 109 and 122.
  Interstate 80 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 3 and 21.
  Interstate 376 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 0 and 22.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Prepare immediately for large hail and damaging winds. People outside
should move immediately to shelter inside a strong building. Stay
away from windows.
