Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
621 AM MDT Mon Jun 24 2024

.Discussion...

Despite dangerously hot and dry conditions across much of the area
over the next few days, critical fire weather is not expected due to
weak forecast wind patterns through the end of this week.

Our plains will see high temperatures of around 10 to 15 degrees
above normal today and tomorrow, with continued chances for isolated
to widely scattered showers and thunderstorms over and near the
higher terrain, and along our southeastern plains. Thunderstorms
increase in coverage and intensity for Wednesday through Friday,
with a cool down arriving this weekend.

Afternoon smoke dispersions will be generally good or better over
the plains today, and fair or better over the mountains. Rates
improve to very good for our plains tomorrow, but remain fair or
good for most mountain zones.

--- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds ---
