Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
136 PM MDT Mon Jun 24 2024

.Discussion...

Well above seasonal temperatures will continue across the
district through much of the week. Warm temperatures and enough
residual moisture will keep chances for isolated to widely scattered
afternoon showers and thunderstorms across the district, with the
the best coverage over and near the higher terrain. Thunderstorms
increase in coverage and intensity for Wednesday through Friday,
with an influx of subtropical moisture working into the Rockies.
The increased convection and an expected frontal passage later
this week will lead to temperatures cooling back to near seasonal
levels into the weekend.

Afternoon smoke dispersions will be generally good or better over
the plains today, and fair or better over the mountains. Rates
improve to very good for our plains tomorrow, but remain fair or
good for most mountain zones.
