A period of above normal temperatures and dry conditions is expected across the area today through Tuesday, with little to no precipitation chances likely through this time frame. Lighter winds early this morning will increase out of the southwest by around midday, with gusts up to 30 to 40 mph. Above normal temperatures and lowest RH values around 12 percent will support critical fire weather conditions this afternoon into early evening. A Red Flag Warning is in effect for the area today. Poor humidity recovery is anticipated tonight over most of the area, especially over the mountains. Similar warm and dry conditions are likely on Monday. For Tuesday through Thursday, it will not be as hot and winds are expected to shift into an upslope pattern over the plains. there will also be a better chance of some scattered wetting storms over the plains from Tuesday through Thursday. The interior mountains, however, will remain windy and dry and critical fire weather conditions will be possible. .REST OF TONIGHT... Sky/weather.........Mostly clear. LAL.................1.
