This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Tonight

Isolated thunderstorms are possible into early evening over the
eastern San Juan Mountains and far southeast plains, with gusty
winds to 50 mph and occasional cloud to ground lightning the main
storm hazards. Most activity will dissipate toward sunset,
although some briefly gusty winds may linger on the plains until
midnight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday

Potentially dangerous heat is expected for portions of the plains on
Monday, and especially on Tuesday. Areas of greatest concern at this
time are El Paso, Pueblo, and eastern Fremont counties, where
temperatures are expected to be around 10 to 15 degrees above normal
for this time of year, especially on Tuesday. Vulnerable
populations and anyone who has to be outside on Monday and Tuesday
should take extra precautions.

Isolated to widely scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected
over and near the higher terrain Monday and Tuesday, with an
increase in coverage and intensity expected for Wednesday through
Friday. The main risks with any stronger storms that develop early
in the work week will be outflow winds gusting to 45 mph, small
hail, and lightning.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Weather spotters will not be needed tonight.
