Rating: EF-2 Estimated peak wind: 125 mph Path length /Statute/: 2.45 miles Path width /Maximum/: 250 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start date: 05/26/2024 Start time: 06:12 PM CDT Start location: 2 ENE Birch Tree End date: 05/26/2024 End time: 06:16 PM CDT End location: 4 E Birch Tree NWS storm survey concluded an EF2 tornado with peak winds near 125 mph started 2 miles northeast of Birch Tree and travelled east southeast for 2.5 miles before lifting 4 miles east of Birch Tree. The tornado crossed Highway 60 just east of County Road 421. This tornado removed the roof of one home and destroyed a saw mill. Numerous trees were also uprooted or snapped along the path of the tornado. EF Scale: The Enhanced Fujita Scale Classifies Tornadoes into the following categories.
