...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Texas...

  Neches River Near Alto affecting Houston, Cherokee, Anderson and
  Trinity Counties.

  Neches River Near Neches affecting Houston, Cherokee and Anderson
  Counties.

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Texas...

  Neches River Near Diboll affecting Polk, Tyler, Houston, Angelina
  and Trinity Counties.

For the Neches River...including Lake Palestine, Neches, Alto,
Diboll, Rockland...Minor flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive cars through flooded areas.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL SATURDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Neches River near Alto.

* WHEN...Until Saturday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Expect moderate to severe flooding of the
  heavily wooded floodplain. Boat ramps and picnic areas will be
  completely inundated.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:15 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 17.3 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 16.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:15 PM CDT Tuesday was 17.6 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    early Friday morning and continue falling to 14.2 feet Sunday
    evening.
  - Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    17.3 feet on 05/23/1954.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Neches River near Neches.

* WHEN...Until early Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding.  Move livestock
  and equipment to higher ground away from the river.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:30 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 13.5 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 12.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:30 PM CDT Tuesday was 13.8 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    Saturday morning and continue falling to 11.2 feet Sunday
    evening.
  - Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    13.3 feet on 01/20/2017.

* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding of boat ramps,
  paths, and trails.  Move livestock and equipment to higher ground.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:15 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 14.4 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 12.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:15 PM CDT Tuesday was 14.7 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall to 13.8 feet Sunday
    evening.
  - Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    14.4 feet on 05/24/1965.
