Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 702 PM AST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms over Dorado and Corozal, where minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. As this thunderstorm drifts westward, heavy rain will affect Vega Alta, where there will be a potential for urban and small stream flooding. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
