...STRONG, DRY COLD FRONTAL PASSAGE EXPECTED MONDAY EVENING...

.DISCUSSION...Clouds have generally departed the region this afternoon with
a mostly clear sky forecast tonight. A similar mostly sunny sky is forecast for
tomorrow with similar dry conditions to today. A 40% chance for less than 10%
RH is forecast. Winds are expected to begin increasing late morning with further
increases in the afternoon. As a result, stronger upslope/upvalley winds are
forecast for Sunday afternoon with gusts near 35 mph in the afternoon and
early evening hours. Looking ahead, a strong dry cold front remains in the forecast
for Monday which will abruptly shift wind directions with continued gusty
conditions.
