A moderate risk of rip currents is expected this afternoon but a locally higher risk of rip currents is possible at some beaches, especially as the seabreeze develops with occasional areas possibly seeing onshore winds around 15 mph. Scattered showers and thunderstorms expected in the afternoon and evening hours today with much drier conditions expected over the weekend. Much lighter winds, possibly offshore, are expected Friday and the weekend which will lead to a low to moderate risk of rip currents.
