Lighter winds are expected today at area beaches with surf heights likely lower as well. During the afternoon some increase in onshore winds is expected as the seabreeze develops and this could bring a locally higher risk of rip currents, but the overall risk should be lower this afternoon. Light winds and low surf heights continue into the weekend and no rain is expected after this afternoon.
