.DISCUSSION...

Waves of showers and embedded thunderstorms will move through
from the southwest over next few hours, with downpours, a few
cloud to ground lightning strikes, and some wind gusts up to 25
mph expected. Shower and thunderstorm activity will become more
scattered in nature by early this afternoon, but atmospheric
destabilization should increase the potential for a few stronger
to severe storms. The stronger cells will be capable of producing
hail, strong, erratic winds, and heavy rain in addition to
lightning. Precipitation chances drop off later this afternoon
into tonight, but post frontal west to northwesterly winds
increase. Showery, windy, and much cooler conditions are expected
on Friday as a moist northwesterly flow wraps around the departing
low pressure.
