This Outlook is for Northwest and West Central Arkansas as well as
much of Eastern Oklahoma.

AREA...Eastern Oklahoma and West Central Arkansas.
ONSET...Ongoing.

DISCUSSION...
Another unseasonably hot day is in progress for most areas, with
triple digit heat index values forecast for much of eastern
Oklahoma and west central Arkansas. A Heat Advisory remains in
effect. In addition to the heat, a few showers and thunderstorms
are ongoing in far northeast Oklahoma early this afternoon, with
additional redevelopment later this afternoon and evening along
and north of Interstate 40. Thunderstorm coverage should be less
than yesterday, with a very low threat for severe weather.

SATURDAY...Thunderstorm and Dangerous Heat Potential.
SUNDAY AND MONDAY...Thunderstorm Potential.
TUESDAY THROUGH THURSDAY...No Hazards.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Dangerous heat will extend into Saturday before a cold front
brings cooler weather continuing well into next week. The front
will also bring an increased chance for showers and thunderstorms
this weekend, with a limited threat for severe weather on Sunday
in parts of northeast Oklahoma. Low thunderstorm chances will
continue into Monday, with chances decreasing toward the end of
the week.
