THUNDERSTORMS WITH DANGEROUS LIGHTNING. RISK...Limited. AREA...Far Northeast Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas. ONSET...This Evening. DANGEROUS HEAT. RISK...Limited. AREA...Eastern Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas. ONSET...Ongoing. DISCUSSION... Hot and humid conditions continue across the area this afternoon. HEat index values around 105 degrees are noted across much of northeast Oklahoma. Temperatures will begin to cool this evening as the sun sets. AN isolated shower or storm is still possible along a boundary moving into far northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas this evening. Minimal, if any coverage is expected through the evening hours with chances decreasing after sunset. SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT... Spotter Activation Not Expected. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday. SATURDAY...No Hazards. SUNDAY THROUGH TUESDAY...High Wind Potential. WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY...Thunderstorm Potential. EXTENDED DISCUSSION... Hot weather will persist through the middle of next week. Breezy conditions will develop for the early part of next week bringing increasing moisture levels to the area. Additionally, a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms will return to the area beginning Monday.
