This Outlook is for Northwest and West Central Arkansas as well as
much of Eastern Oklahoma.

AREA...Eastern Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas.
ONSET...This Afternoon.

DISCUSSION...
Dangerous heat will continue today across eastern Oklahoma and
northwest Arkansas with heat index values as high as 109 degrees.
Conditions will improve gradually after sunset.

Additionally, there is a low chance of thunderstorms this
afternoon west of highway 75 in northeast Oklahoma. Some storms
may become marginally severe and produce damaging winds and large
hail. Additional storms may begin to impact portions of far
northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas late tonight into
tomorrow.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Dangerous heat is expected to persist for the next several days
and especially this weekend. As a frontal boundary pushes through
the region Wednesday, a low to medium chance of thunderstorms
continues across eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. There is
a marginal risk of severe weather with this activity. Additional
low storm chances return this weekend as another front attempts
to push into the region. South of this front, however, very hot
and humid conditions will continue with additional heat headlines
probable.
