Survey Summary: A National Weather Service storm survey concluded
straight line wind damage occurred in the City of Albany on June
20, 2024. The majority of the damage occurred in the Washington
Park area where numerous branches fell along with some uprooted,
hardwood trees. All of the trees and branches fell in an easterly
direction which is consistent with straight line winds. Isolated
structural damage was also noted near the intersection of Broadway
and Thatcher Street. Maximum wind speeds were estimated around 75
mph.
