The National Weather Service in La Crosse has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Mower County in southeastern Minnesota...

* Until 530 AM CDT.

* At 1131 PM CDT, local law enforcement reported thunderstorms
  producing heavy rain across the warned area and 3 feet of was on
  Interstate 90 near mile marker 175. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
  have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are
  possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Austin, Grand Meadow, Le Roy, Adams, Brownsdale, Lyle, Rose Creek,
  Lansing, Racine, Mayville, Dexter, Mapleview, Waltham, Elkton,
  Sargeant, Taopi, Renova, County Roads 1 And 7, County Roads 56 And
  5 and Johnsburg.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
