A cold front extending Central Lower Michigan to near Chicago
early today will push southeast across Lake Erie this afternoon
and move through the Keystone State tonight.

Preceding and accompanying this airmass boundary the chance for
showers and thunderstorms will increase this afternoon and
evening. Localized damaging thunderstorm wind gusts are possible
along with the potential for locally heavy rainfall of over one
inch in less than 30 minutes.

High temperatures this afternoon will range from near 80 across
the highest terrain of the north and west, to the low and mid 90s
in the valleys of South-Central and Southeastern PA.

The showers and thunderstorms will weaken in intensity and decrease
in coverage from Northwest to Southeast later tonight. Lows tonight
will vary from the comfortably cool mid 50s over the NW Mtns to
near 70F in the larger Metro Areas of South-Central and
Southeastern PA.

Seasonably warm, rain-free, and less humid weather is anticipated
for late week Thursday and Friday.
