A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT for
central Iowa.

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 600 PM CDT
FOR CENTRAL POWESHIEK COUNTY...

At 543 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Brooklyn to near Grinnell to Searsboro, moving
east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
         roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Grinnell, Montezuma, Brooklyn, Malcom, Searsboro, Guernsey, and
Grinnell Regional Airport.

This includes Interstate 80 between mile markers 182 and 202.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
