...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 730 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of western North Carolina, including the
  following county, Transylvania.

* WHEN...Until 730 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Overflowing poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 527 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is
    ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area as
    new rainfall as much a 2 inches falls in a short period of
    time.  Watch for rapid rises along the French Broad
    Tributaries and throughout the greater Brevard area into the
    evening.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Brevard, Rosman, Looking Glass, B.R. Parkway-Black Balsam To
    Mount Pisgah, Dupont State Forest, Connestee, Penrose, Balsam
    Grove, Little River In Transylvania County and North
    Transylvania.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
