Open Lake Forecast for Lake Erie
National Weather Service Cleveland OH
957 PM EDT Fri Jun 21 2024

For waters beyond five nautical miles of shore on Lake Erie

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...
A ridge averaging 30.20 inches persists over the region before a
reinforcing warm front sweeps northward across Lake Erie on
Saturday as low pressure of 29.70 inches moves northeastward
through the western Great Lakes. On Sunday, the low is expected to
move east-northeastward toward northern New England, deepen to
29.50 inches, and allow the trailing cold front to sweep eastward
across Lake Erie. Behind the cold front, high pressure of 29.90
inches builds from the western Great Lakes on Monday. A warm front
is forecast to sweep northward across Lake Erie on Tuesday as the
ridge exits eastward. A strong cold front should then sweep
eastward across the lake on Wednesday.
