...Brief gusts up to 20 knots are possible...

A boundary dropping southward across the waters have brought a
large uptick in winds early this morning. While mostly impacting
the wider waters of the Chesapeake Bay, current observations have
seen northeasterly winds gust up to 20 to 25 knots over the middle
tidal Potomac. These gusts should be brief in nature before
decreasing in strength by around 5 to 530 AM. For those in smaller
vessels, exercise caution and seek a nearby harbor if needed.
