A period of wet weather returns Saturday through Tuesday next week as a series of frontal systems bring abundant rainfall to the area along with breezy conditions Monday and Tuesday. A few lightning strikes possible Monday afternoon as well. Showers gradually taper off through the day Wednesday with a gradual warmup forecast for late next week as highs near 80 degrees, especially over southern Washington.
