Becoming dry for tonight and the start of the work week... .DISCUSSION: Isolated to scattered showers continue today with best chances for showers in the northern half of Upper Michigan. While breezy northwest winds are expected today with gusts up to 30 mph, RHs will mainly remain above 60%. Strongest winds are expected over the east half of the U.P. Dry weather returns this evening as high pressure builds in from the northwest, continuing through early next week. RHs recover to around 80-100% tonight as a cooler and drier air mass moves in. Some patchy frost is possible in the interior west tonight. Monday brings good mixing with high pressure overhead. Warmer temps than today are expected in the 60s save for the eastern Lake Superior shores that will remain in the 50s. This brings minimum RHs down into the mid 20s to mid 30s, lowest in the interior west half of the U.P. Northerly winds will be stronger over the east (gusting up to 20-25mph) where RHs are not as low thanks to cooler onshore flow off Lake Superior. Conditions on Monday do walk the line with borderline elevated wildfire conditions, but mitigating our threat will be the antecedent wet environment courtesy of plenty of wet weather lately.
