The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of
  Extreme eastern Iowa
  Northern Illinois
  Northern Indiana
  Southern Lower Michigan
  Northwestern Ohio
  Southeastern Wisconsin
  Lake Erie
  Lake Michigan

* Effective this Tuesday morning from 500 AM until 1100 AM CDT.

* Primary threats include...
  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible
  Isolated large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible

SUMMARY...An ongoing severe complex of thunderstorms may continue to
pose a threat for damaging gusts into parts of southern lower MI,
northern IN and northwestern OH before weakening later this morning.
 Meanwhile, a newer belt of strong thunderstorms may reach severe
levels over portions of northern IL, southern Lake Michigan and
northern IN, perhaps merging with the trailing part of the older
activity.

The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 60
statute miles either side of a line from 40 miles west of Janesville
WI to 25 miles northeast of Findlay OH. For a complete depiction of

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening
weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.

1.5 inches. Extreme turbulence and surface wind gusts to 60 knots. A
